The Final Stretch
We’re almost at the finish line. Just a little further! That’s probably what you’re thinking right now as we wind down this last, final quarter of the year. But things never quite slow down at Singular and, like most of you, we’re already looking at 2016 and working on how can we continue to build technology to make this ecosystem just a little bit easier.
So, on that note here are a few features we’d like to highlight that we know are going to make your lives just a little bit easier.
New! Real Time Email Data Processing
If you’re like many mobile marketing teams then you’re probably receiving daily and weekly emails from some of your ad network partners with the latest stats on your marketing campaigns. That’s also where the not-so-fun part begins. In some cases, ad networks send you this data at different times of the week or day. In addition, many of these emails come in different formats which makes it difficult to process them in batches. As if that wasn’t enough, occasionally the data in these emails is curated manually which increases the chance of data errors and forces you and your team to actually open and verify the accuracy of the data in each email. Now multiply that by the number of networks that you work with and you might find yourself reaching for a bottle of aspirin right about now.
But fear not. It’s the Season of Giving and we’re going to give you a solution right now! We’re happy to share that we recently released Real Time Email Data Processing for all our customers. What this means is that as soon as you receive an email from your ad network partner and forward it to us your data will be automatically extracted and integrated into your Singular account in real time. No more waiting.
True to our credo, it’s simple to set up. Once you have an account on Singular we automatically create an email alias for you in the format of awesomeclientX@singular.net (awesomeclientX = your company name). To add emails from a network simply go to the left hand menu in your dashboard, select Settings → Data Sources and then type in the source of your emails in the text box at the top of your screen. Once there just type Mail in both fields and your done. From now on whenever you receive an email report from one of your ad networks just forward it to awesomeclientX@singular.net and we’ll magically do the rest. When you go back to your dashboard the data from that email will be integrated right along with all the other data you have. That’s it!
New! 2-Factor Authentication
Data. It’s the lifeblood of your business. It’s what drives much of your decision making and it’s probably the most precious thing you own apart from your people and your IP.
We know how critical your data is to you and, more importantly, how important it is for your data to be accurate, reliable and secure.
With that in mind we’re introducing 2-Factor Authentication. 2FA adds a second level of security by requiring you to input a unique code, in addition to your username and password, which is generated randomly by an app installed on your smartphone. 2FA is available for each individual user on your account and is an optional security feature for you to use as you see fit.
Setting up 2FA for your account is quick and simple. Click on your profile in the upper right hand corner of your account and select the 2-Factor Authentication option from the drop-down menu. This will tell you the current status of your account and give you the option to click a button to start the set-up process. Once you click on the “Set up Two Factor Authentication” button just follow the instructions on the screen and you’ll be good to go. 2FA works across all major mobile platforms and you can use various different apps for the authentication process such as Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, Authy and others. If you change your mind and want to deactivate 2FA just head back up to your profile, click 2FA and click the button to deactivate it. Rest easy. Your data is now even safer with us.
Reminder: Multi-User Accounts
A few months ago we launched Multi-user accounts. Since we didn’t have a blog at that time and given all the new customers we now have, we thought it might be useful to provide a quick refresher on what this is and how it works.
Multi-user accounts allow an organization to have an unlimited number of individual users on a single account at no additional cost. Each user has their own username and login details and has unlimited access to Singular Analytics and as well as any additional granular information provided by Singular Stack (if you haven’t integrated with Singular Stack you can get more info here).
Multi-user accounts are easy to set-up. Just visit the Admin option in the left hand menu of the screen, click on invitations and click on the upper right hand box labeled Invite New Member. Once you’ve filled out the person’s details and hit send invitation they will receive an email and be able to fully access all the data in your account and run their own reports.
Reminder: Sharing data with non users
Last but not least. Scientific studies show that by sharing our goals with others we enlist them in our efforts to meet these goals and increase our chances of success.
You can easily share reports even with people that aren’t Singular users. Say, for example, that you ran a report showing that one creative unit had better ROI than another (a unique feature of our new Singular Stack product). You might want to share this with your graphic designer or your agency without giving them access to all the data in your account.
With Singular it’s easy. Simply run the report in question and click the Share button on the upper right hand corner of the page. This allows you to share this particular report, and nothing else, with any person you want either inside or outside your organization. You can even decide the expiry period of the link and choose who is authorized to view the report. Just copy the link and email it to whoever you would like to share it to.
So share away and get even more people excited about what you’re up to!
